Will Humes, Pastor
Will is an ordained United Methodist Minister who was born and raised in rural Kentucky. The son of a pastor, Will attended Eastern Kentucky University where he received a B.S. in psychology and political science (1983) and a Masters in Public Administration (1984). After pursuing further graduate studies in psychology, Will felt called to ministry. He subsequently worked for a year at the Wesley Foundation at Eastern, and then attended seminary at Drew Theological School. Appointed to First Church in 2001, Will lives in Pottstown with his daughter, Desiree (17), who is the apple of his eye.
In an effort to reach out to people beyond our own church, Pastor Will publishes a personal blog at willhumes.net. So far, he has over 700,000 page views at this site. Please feel free to visit his blog.
Our Members
Of course our most important ministers are the members of First United Methodist Church. We believe strongly in the priesthood of all believers and therefore encourage every person to be involved in the ministry and mission of our congregation.
